Our Ever Faithful Lord- Psalm 125:1-2 (ESV)
1Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.
In this Psalm, King David refers to those who trust in the Lord as being like Mount Zion. Mount Zion is another name for Jerusalem. As Jerusalem is surrounded by mountains, the Lord surrounds his people, and will continue to do so forever.
When you trust in the Lord and become a Christian, you have God’s promise that he will surround with his love, his mercy, his grace and his protection. In addition, he will provide for your every need.
As the mountains that cannot be removed, nothing or no one can remove you from God’s love. Paul reiterates this truth in Romans 8:38-39 where he wrote: 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Have you come to Jesus? Have you trusted Him to be your Lord and Savior? The Bible says He is knocking at the door (Revelation 3:20). He wants to save you. If you have not yet trusted Him, do so today. If you have, and are a Christian, you have God’s promise that he will surround you with love, mercy, and grace. Rejoice in your salvation. It’s forever.
