Our Strong Redeemer- Jeremiah 50:34 (ESV)

Their Redeemer is strong, the LORD of hosts is his name.

Jeremiah chapter 50 pronounces judgment against Babylon where the southern nation of Judah had been exiled. In this judgment God says that their Redeemer is strong. He was speaking of the same Redeemer we have who has redeemed us and saved us from our sins. In Jeremiah, He is referred to as the LORD of hosts. We know Him as Jesus.

Our Redeemer is indeed strong. He is strong enough to defeat Satan and to rescue us from his kingdom of darkness and bring us into the kingdom of light. In Job 19:25, Job states that he knows that his Redeemer lives. Job knew this in the midst of his troubles.

When troubles come, do you have the faith that enables you to say: “I know that my Redeemer lives?” Jesus Christ is our strong Redeemer. If you place your faith in Him, He will redeem you from the kingdom of darkness, save you from your sins, and bring you into the kingdom of light.

If you have not done that yet, make today that you receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Find a good Bible believing and preaching church and trust Christ today. He is strong enough to defeat any objections you may have, Satan, and any and all false teachings you may have believed. Trust Him today.
