Praise and Thanksgiving- Psalm 95:2 ESV
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
This Thursday, November 27, will be Thanksgiving Day in America. Many people will be gathering together with family to celebrate this great American tradition. As you gather with family for this festive holiday, don’t forget to offer thanks to God for the blessings he has bestowed upon you this past year.
However, Psalm 95:2 does not apply only to Thanksgiving Day. We should seek to come into the Lord’s presence with thanksgiving daily. We should be making a joyful noise with songs of praise always. He is worthy. Revelation 5:12 states:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!”
When we come into his presence with thanksgiving and praise he is pleased to bless us. If you haven’t felt blessed lately, maybe you should praise God for what he has done for you. Thanksgiving Day reminds us to remember the blessings God has bestowed upon us.
This Thanksgiving, let us rejoice and be glad in him. The more we praise God and thank him for his blessings, the more blessings we will receive. Praise him today and always. Of course, if you have never trusted the Jesus as your Lord and Savior, make today the day you do. Then you will not only be able to see and appreciate the blessings God has given you through the years, you will be able to recognize future blessings as they come to you.
