Fellowship in the Church- Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

While it may be true that church attendance does not automatically make one a Christian, Christians should, nevertheless, have the desire to be in church, not only for weekly religious services, but any time the doors are open for Bible study or Christian fellowship.

We are surrounded by unbelievers every time we go out in public. The church is where you are going to find like-minded believers. We need to fellowship with other people that hold to our faith. Gathering together in our church promotes the strengthening of the faith of believers.

Not only may your faith be strengthened through fellowship, but you may also be able to help to strengthen the faith of a fellow believer. The writer to the Hebrews encourages us to meet together, to encourage one another in the faith.

We need that encouragement even more today as we see our world mocking and persecuting Christians and our belief system. We need to reach the unchurched for Christ, but we also need the encouragement of fellow believers to help us in our daily lives. If you have not been attending church on a regular basis, why not begin this week? You may just find that your faith is stronger and maybe you will strengthen the faith of someone else just by being there.
