Merry Christmas- Luke 2:7 ESV

7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

Thursday of this week is Christmas Day. We in America celebrate Christmas at this time every year. Many others countries do as well. Christmas is the celebration of the birthday of Jesus. Christmas is a celebration of the gifts God has given to mankind. These gifts include eternal life in Christ Jesus, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and many other gifts and blessings bestowed by our heavenly Father.

As we read the Gospel According to Luke, Luke tells us that after Mary gave birth to Jesus she wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger. The reason that she laid him in a manger was because there was no room for them in the inn.

Some people, even today, have no room for Jesus in their heart. This year, as you celebrate Christmas, remember the reason for the season. Remember Christ and make room for him in your heart.
